I'm happy to announce that the first Adventure Boot Camp cruise was a huge success! We spent five days on the open seas, starting in San Diego and venturing down the coast to Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada.
There were over 30 people who came out to join us; about 30 ladies and a few men as well. We enjoyed Boot Camp-style workouts lead by John on the deck. We were given a private conference room for our educational lectures and workshops.
It wasn't all work, work, work... this was a cruise after all! We were given plenty of time to go out on excursions in Cabo and Ensenada and the ship provided us will a lot of activities... and relaxation time. Oh, and the food was delicious (and eaten in moderation, of course)!
During one of the regularly scheduled lectures, we decided to have a round-table discussion instead. We all got together to talk about personal success and goal attainment. The cruise was an educational and uplifting bonding experience over all, but this particular meeting was certainly the highlight for many campers.
The cruise was such a big hit, we've decided to have an encore next year. It will be around the same time in April, the same duration, and the same course. There will, however, be a few minor changes. We'd like to offer more classes/lectures for campers to attend on a purely optional basis. It is our hope that they will attend because we plan on having a few guest lecturers come on board with us. John will also offer more one-on-one time with campers of they want more personal advice or just want to chat.
All in all, everyone had a good time and really took advantage of the opportunity to bond with others while learning a great deal about health, fitness, and wellness. Wellness, by the way, sometimes requires just laying out on the lido deck with a nice cocktail.
